[Spotlight] Taiwan Business Bank’s Digital Banking Team drives transformation through AI and inclusive design

At Taiwan Business Bank, the Digital Banking Team plays a pivotal role in advancing the Bank’s transformation agenda. The team modernises legacy processes, enhances omnichannel customer experiences, and integrates artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation into core banking services.

Guided by a customer-centric philosophy, the team is committed to creating secure, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences for customers of all ages and backgrounds.

This approach has earned the team a portfolio of award-winning initiatives, including the AI-powered voice assistant “i-Money,” a senior-friendly mobile banking application, and an end-to-end digital lending platform.

These solutions have expanded service accessibility, increased operational efficiency, and improved customer engagement across the bank’s channels.

Furthermore, the team has secured multiple technological patents, validating its in-house development capabilities and technical innovation.

“Our goal is to make banking more intuitive, inclusive, and accessible for everyone,” said Yu-Chen Tsai, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Taiwan Business Bank. “By leveraging AI and digital technologies, we are able to simplify complex financial processes and provide customers with faster, safer, and more convenient services. At the same time, these innovations enable the Bank to improve operational efficiency and strengthen risk management capabilities, creating sustainable value for both customers and the business”, he added.

The team’s future objectives focus on scaling AI-driven financial services, strengthening cyber resilience, and expanding the digital ecosystem.

Immediate operational priorities include deploying intelligent fraud prevention systems, deepening data-driven personalisation, and delivering inclusive financial products to diverse customer segments to align with global banking standards.
