Goldman Sachs TxB® has introduced an integrated digital onboarding platform designed to simplify how corporate and institutional clients access banking services, while helping to reduce manual processes across onboarding, know-your-customer (KYC) reviews and account management.
Developed by the Digital Channels product team, the solution is part of TxB’s cloud-native, API-first platform supporting payments, foreign exchange and liquidity solutions. The cross-functional team, comprising product managers, engineers, and designers, built the solution with the objective of delivering a fully digital onboarding experience.
The platform combines four capabilities: Digital Onboarding, Digital KYC Refresh, Self-Service Virtual Account Opening and Closure and Self-Service API Certificate Management. Digital Onboarding launched in the United States at the end of 2024 before expanding to the United Kingdom in 2025. The solution includes a rules-based KYC engine that replaces static forms with dynamic workflows, together with integrated e-signature functionality, enabling information requirements to adapt according to client responses.
The self-service virtual account opening and closure capability helps eligible clients to create clearing-recognised virtual accounts within minutes, compared to a process that can take several days. Meanwhile, using the in-house-developed API Certificate Management Console, clients can generate, renew and manage API certificates through a self-service interface, helping to reduce certificate administration from days to minutes.
According to Goldman Sachs TxB, the platform has reduced onboarding completion times and helped lower client correspondence with service teams by 50%. The API Certificate Management Console has also eliminated hundreds of hours of operational work each year, reducing manual processing and operational risk. Client feedback highlighted improvements in usability and efficiency, with users noting that the platform reduced administrative effort and simplified the onboarding process.
The integrated platform demonstrates how automation, self-service capabilities and digital workflows can streamline onboarding and client servicing while supporting operational efficiency across transaction banking.
