Theerachai Chanyaswad

Dr. Thee Chanyaswad is the Head of Data Analytics at KASIKORN LINE – of which platform, LINE BK, is Thailand’s first fully digital social banking service, and one of the fastest growing banking platforms in Thailand. He is building the data foundation of KASIKORN LINE from the ground up – both in terms of its systems and engineering, and in terms of its analytics capability and knowledge. He is responsible for supporting the business with the most timely and insightful information, as well as with accurate models using state-of-the-art technologies. In addition, he is serving as a key member in the data governance framework at KASIKORN LINE, overseeing the company’s overall data policy and management.

Dr. Thee Chanyaswad received his Ph.D. from Princeton University specializing in data privacy and machine learning; MSc in Biomedical Engineering from University of Oxford; and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. His passion lies in privacy-enhancing technologies, machine learning and artificial intelligence, technology and innovation, and French wine.

Kenneth is a 2 sports national athlete competing in the World Cup, Asian Games and South East Asian games for Rugby and Ice Hockey. He has a bachelor degree from Boston University and a MBA from Macquarie University.

    He is an award-winning thought leader on digital transformation and financial inclusion with 20 years of experience. He institutionalized the country’s first fintech industry code of conduct and code of ethics to protect consumers, and published the first Philippine fintech taxonomy book. His efforts have earned him close to 100 global and regional awards including bagging a three-peat Best Digital Bank from Asiamoney and back-to-back win for Best Financial Inclusion App from the Asian Banker for RCBC. Some of these recognitions include being among the Top 100 FinTech Leaders in Asia, Mr FinTech of the Philippines by NewsBiz Asia, Chief Innovation Officer of the Year by the London-based The Banker, and among the Top 100 Filipinos in LinkedIn.

    He has a regular business column Byte in the Philippine Star. He is the Chairman of the South Africa-based Alliance of Digital Finance Associations, and a member of the Global Impact FinTech and AIBP Advisory Board. He is the founding president of the BSP Governor Nestor A. Espenilla Jr. Institute for Growth towards National Inclusion, Transformation, and Empowerment (IGNITE).

    He finished the Cambridge Intellect Leadership Programme in 2019 on Digital Transformation by Design at the University of Cambridge. He completed a Master of Arts in public administration magna cum laude at the University of Santo Tomas and a Master in National Security Administration at the National Defense College of the Philippines.

As CTO, he is mainly in charge of building up the Product, Engineering, and Data team of Amar Bank across the world – Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Estonia & Finland. 

    Amar Bank as the pure-play digital bank that introduced digital lending through Tunaiku and has recently launched the first mobile only AI (artificial intelligence) banking app Senyumku.

    Albert Dela Cruz

    Albert “Abet” Dela Cruz is Security Bank’s First Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He brings with him over 35 years of experience and expertise in IT and Information Security, handling various roles in both the private and public sector.

    As Security Bank’s CISO, he is responsible for developing policies, processes, and procedures as well as drive the implementation of critical and relevant information security controls to improve the resiliency and readiness of the bank against attacks that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information assets.

    Aside from being Security Bank’s CISO, Abet actively provides technical assistance and advisory services to various government agencies of the country “pro-bono publico” as a private citizen and as Founder and Director of the Philippine Computer Emergency Response Team Coordinating Center (PHCERT/CC).

    Prior to joining the Bank, Abet worked with USAID and Nathan and Associates as Cybersecurity Lead, with Microsoft Philippines as Platform Strategy Manager, and with the Energy Development
    Corporation, Department of Justice, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Information and Communication Technology , Supreme Court of the Philippines as Information Security Advisor. He also previously held CISO and CTO roles in leading technology and digital organizations in the country, and founded and nurtured several successful startups in Systems Integration, Mobile Application Development, and Information Security.

    Supreecha currently leads mobile banking, digital business channels, and digital platform teams in Kasikornbank. He has over 20 years of experience in digital products in both the Banking and Telecommunications industries. At NITMX, he has a track record of successfully leading the implementation of Promptpay, Thailand’s digital payment infrastructure. His expertise in managing innovation has also resulted in significant developments for AIS in digital finance, mobile payment, ICT solutions, broadband internet, digital content, and data analytics.

    Michael Singh

    Mike Singh has the unique experience of both being a serial entrepreneur but also working in a financial services Fortune company.

    His early entrepreneurial ventures in the Philippines became market leaders in their space and resulted in successful exits. His most recent venture included founding and scaling a fintech digital lending platform, Pera247, which reached product-level profitability w/in 18 months and a best-in-region NPL resulting in Grab Financial’s acquisition of the venture in May 2021. This later became the launching pad of Grab into unsecured lending.

    Mike also worked in HSBC North America where he covered emerging market offices (APAC, China, Mexica). In this role, he successfully launched the Best Buy USA co-branded credit card in both China and Mexico, managed the P&L’s in the subprime mortgage and credit card spaces, and led the co-branded credit card with General Motors with a US$7B portfolio.

    Raymond N. Apolonio

Mon is no stranger to the fintech industry bringing his decade worth of experience, awards, and expertise in operations management, business process optimization and process engineering ranging from customer service operations, back-office operations, credit cards, BNPL, cash loan, fraud analysis, business continuity plan, ISO certification, and on ground marketing. He believes in combining strategic and tactical execution of initiatives with cross-functional teams while promoting close coordination with key stakeholders and players results to positive overall performance delivery of the organization.     Jaypee R. Soliman

    Jaypee Soliman is currently the Senior Vice President and the SME and Micropreneurs Segment Head under the Customer Experience Group of Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank). He joined Unionbank back in 2008 starting his career in sales and later on moving on to leadership and management roles. He led groups under Retail Banking, Transaction Banking, SME Banking and now customer experience. He currently leads the group that drives the bank’s various innovations on banking products, technology and platform solutions for the MSME market coming from the lenses of customer experience, market behavior, journey and market relevance.

    Prior to joining UnionBank, he was connected with one of the largest Global Banking and Financial institution for 2 years and had a 3 year career stint with a Global Advertising agency.

    He graduated from De LaSalle University, Manila, with a degree on Behavioral Sciences majoring in Organizational Systems Development and also completed his academic units for Master’s Degree in Industrial Psychology.

    He also sits as part of the Board of Trustees and was appointed as Director for Banking and Finance Sector of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) Philippines. Jaypee also sits as part of the Board of Advisors for a number of startups and Small and Medium companies. Most recently, he has been the first Filipino to be nominated for SME Banker of the year for EFMA SME Banking awards 2021.

    Jaypee has been invited to speak in numerous business forums in both local and international arenas as a key resource speaker and subject matter expert on topics such as digital transformation, payments, e-commerce, digital banking and finance, and so on.

He most recently served as the company’s Operations Manager before assuming his current role. Specializing in financial forecasting, analytics and key technology stacks, Farit held roles in product ownership, business analysis and data science roles in recent years.

    Albert Raymund O. Tinio

    Albert has several years experience in the fields of fintech, banking, telecommunications, and logistics. He started his career in logistics having worked for American President Lines and Federal Express. He broadened his knowledge and experience by then moving into telecommunications with two major Philippine telco players, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications. While in Globe, Albert earned Globe’s Leadership Award for significant gains made in growing and expanding broadband services nationwide. He transitioned from telco to fintech after being chosen to lead GCash as President and CEO. During this period, Albert became the founding president of the Philippine E-Money Association. Immediately prior to joining GoTyme, he was SVP, Digital Payments and Agency Banking for Robinsons Bank. Albert has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from the University of the Philippines and completed the Oxford FinTech Program from the University of Oxford Saïd Business School. He is also a certified coach from the International Coaching Federation.
