UK-based global issuer processor Paymentology has appointed Stephen Bowe as its new chief product officer (CPO).
With over 15 years of experience in banking and payments, Bowe joins Paymentology’s leadership team to drive further innovation in the company’s payment products. He will be responsible for expanding the company’s payments infrastructure, focusing on seamless API integrations to simplify complex payment solutions.
Bowe has also been tasked with ensuring Paymentology’s products make it easy to launch and manage card programmes worldwide. With his appointment, the firm aims to strengthen the connection between its programme management, product, and technology teams, ensuring customer input remains integral to Paymentology’s long-term vision.
Bringing extensive international experience, Bowe has previously worked with organisations across Australia & New Zealand, Asia and Europe. He started his career with Accenture and gained experience in the telecommunications industry with BT, Vodafone, and Cable & Wireless. He was instrumental in the launch of UBank, a digital bank launched in 2008 by NAB in Australia.
At the Bank of New Zealand, Stephen led the bank’s technology and digital experiences teams. He also served as CPO at WorldFirst, building an advanced cross-border payments platform. Bowe joins Paymentology from Nationwide Building Society, the world’s largest building society, where he was director of digital experience and innovation.
“Paymentology’s global presence and focus on simplifying card programme management align perfectly with my experience,” Bowe said about his new role.
“I am excited to join the team and utilise our collective knowledge and expertise to further add to Paymentology’s leading payments processing and issuing product stack, enhancing the tools available to banks, fintechs and other businesses to drive their growth, differentiation and innovation.”
Jeff Parker, CEO of Paymentology, added: “Stephen’s track record of building outstanding financial products is clear, and his experience will be instrumental in guiding us as we strive to reach new milestones.”
