HSBC Life Singapore has introduced two new insurance products to help people in Singapore manage longer lifespans and evolving financial needs, offering flexible protection and legacy planning options that adapt across different stages of life.
HSBC Life Singapore has unveiled two new insurance products aimed at helping people prepare for longer lives and more complex financial needs. The launch comes as Singapore’s average life expectancy continues to rise, reaching 83.9 years in 2025, though health span, the years lived in good health, remains about a decade shorter. This gap highlights the growing importance of financial planning that can adapt to changing health and wealth demands.
The new offerings, HSBC Life Term Protect Secure and HSBC Life Diamond Prestige IUL III, are designed to provide flexibility across different stages of life. Term Protect Secure is a term life plan that allows customers to adjust their coverage as circumstances change. It offers protection up to age 100, options to increase coverage at key life events without further medical checks, and enhanced critical illness riders covering up to 170 conditions. A feature called FlexiMilestone also gives policyholders the choice to reduce coverage or receive a partial cash payout later in life, reflecting evolving financial priorities.
Diamond Prestige IUL III builds on HSBC Life’s flagship indexed universal life plan, focusing on lifelong protection and legacy planning. It introduces new investment options, including exposure to gold and expanded equity strategies, while offering participation rates of up to 230 per cent and safeguards against negative returns. Customers can tailor premium payments and allocations to suit their goals, and even structure death benefits to be distributed over several years. The plan also allows changes to the insured person, supporting wealth transfer across generations.
Harpreet Bindra, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Life Singapore, said that longer lives are reshaping how people must think about financial security. He noted that the link between health and financial resilience is becoming clearer, and that wealth must now work harder and last longer. HSBC Life’s role, he added, is to provide solutions that adapt to customers’ needs throughout their lifetime.
These launches follow other recent additions to HSBC Life’s suite, such as Prestige Circle, which caters to complex cross-border needs of high-net-worth individuals, and Indexed Flexi Income, which provides lifetime income and protection. The company has also been recognised internationally, named the World’s Best Insurance Provider for Wealth Management at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026 and ranked as Singapore’s top insurance brand for high-net-worth clients for the third year running.
HSBC Life Singapore says the new products are part of its broader effort to help customers bridge protection gaps and plan for wealth preservation and transfer, ensuring financial resilience in an era of longer lifespans.
