Delivering timely, relevant market insights at scale requires more than technology, it demands seamless collaboration. At Hang Seng Bank, the cross-functional team behind “Project Netflix” has brought together experts from the Chief Investment Office (CIO), Digital Banking, Transformation, IT, and Data Analytics & AI to redefine how investment content reaches customers.
The initiative introduced a new Content Hub capability that replaces a largely manual, one-size-fits-all process with a scalable, intelligent operating model. The CIO continues to oversee investment content and editorial governance through a robust Maker–Checker–Approver framework, while the Transformation team coordinates delivery across stakeholders. Meanwhile, the Data Analytics & AI team powers the platform behind the scenes, enabling customer segmentation, user acceptance testing, and large-scale push notification distribution.
This has resulted in a faster, more efficient process while maintaining rigorous governance standards. The platform also enables market insights to be tailored across multiple topics, communication styles, and three languages – Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English – with localisation that goes beyond direct translation to ensure greater clarity and relevance.
For customers, this means receiving clearer, timelier investment insights in a format that is easier to understand. For the bank, it establishes a repeatable and scalable workflow that improves productivity without compromising quality or regulatory compliance.
The team plans to extend the capability to more communication channels, creating a consistent, personalised experience across more customer touchpoints while continuing to enhance the delivery of market intelligence.
