London, 17 July 2025 – Citi has partnered with Fenergo to enhance its Global Transfer Agency operations in Europe, deploying the fintech firm’s Client Lifecycle Management platform to digitise investor onboarding and compliance for regulated funds.
The move is aimed at streamlining Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks through customised, policy-driven workflows. Citi’s institutional clients—primarily asset and investment managers—can now benefit from automated data validation and real-time reporting enabled via API connectivity.
“The Fenergo platform brings together next-generation technology with a deep understanding of regulatory needs, which is critical to managing multi-domiciled investments across diverse asset classes,” said Larissa Sototskaya, Head of Global Transfer Agency at Citi Fund Services.
The rollout follows Citi’s launch of a digital transfer agency service in the UK in 2023. The bank now offers a fully digital client lifecycle service for UK funds and is extending the capability to its European business as part of a wider digital transformation agenda.
Fenergo EMEA Managing Director Ruth Ormsby added: “We are delighted to support Citi in delivering a more engaging investor experience while upholding rigorous compliance and operational standards.”
Citi’s Global Transfer Agency forms part of its broader Fund Services division, which services institutional fund managers operating regulated products for institutional and retail investors.
