Citi has appointed Nicholas Chin as Head of Markets Strategic Investments for Japan, Asia North and Australia, and Asia South, further strengthening its leadership team across the region. Nicholas will report to Siris Singh, Head of Markets Strategic Investments.
Nicholas joins Citi from J.P. Morgan’s London office, where he spent over eight years driving venture and growth equity investments in the fintech sector. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he held strategic innovation and investment roles at Barclays London for nearly three years.
Citi’s Markets Strategic Investments team is focused on sourcing and executing venture investments in fintech companies and financial market infrastructure. With a presence in London, New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore, the team plays a key role in driving innovation across global markets. Backed by Citi’s extensive global network, the group supports portfolio companies to innovate, scale, and shape the future of the financial ecosystem. To date, Citi has invested in over 100 companies worldwide.
