Corpay has entered into a partnership with Circle Internet Group to embed the USDC stablecoin into its global payments platform, a move aimed at speeding up settlements and widening the choice of funding options for corporate clients.
Under the agreement, Corpay will use Circle’s Mint and API technology to allow customers to hold and transact in USDC directly within its system. The integration will enable round-the-clock blockchain-based settlement, with payouts available in local currencies across more than 80 countries.
The companies said the initiative would also extend to Corpay’s commercial card products, allowing transactions to be funded from USDC wallets and converted to fiat currency at settlement.
Mark Frey, group president of Corpay Cross-Border Solutions, said the tie-up would give businesses “a new real-time option that complements the payment networks they already trust”. Kash Razzaghi, chief business officer at Circle, described it as “the next evolution of how businesses move money globally” by combining traditional payment infrastructure with blockchain technology.
The partnership comes amid rising interest from corporates in stablecoin-based payments, which promise faster transactions and lower costs than traditional cross-border methods.
