CIMB Singapore has announced the formation of the SME Resilience Circle, a new initiative created in partnership with CrediLinq, KPay and Singlife to expand access to smarter and more flexible working capital solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in Singapore and across the wider region. The Circle is designed to help businesses strengthen resilience, support growth and improve long-term sustainability as they navigate rising costs, digital disruption and shifting customer behaviour.
The initiative was formalised through separate memoranda of understanding between CIMB Singapore and each of its partners. CrediLinq will provide AI-driven credit underwriting to enable more accurate risk assessment, while KPay will connect merchant payment data to financing, making it easier for smaller firms to access credit. Singlife will contribute protection and business continuity solutions, reinforcing the broader ecosystem of support available to SMEs.
Together, the collaboration is expected to benefit at least 30,000 retailers already within the partners’ networks, giving them access to data-driven, performance-linked financing solutions. The Circle also intends to welcome additional ecosystem partners over time to broaden the scope of support available.
A central feature of the partnership is CIMB FlexiPay, an innovative pay-as-you-earn loan introduced in August 2025. The product links repayments directly to a company’s daily revenue, with deductions automatically taken from deposits based on a chosen holdback rate. Businesses pay a single upfront fee, repay only on days they earn and face no charges on days they do not. The loan carries no interest, late fees or prepayment penalties, and the process is entirely digital.
Benjamin Tan, Head of Commercial and Transaction Banking at CIMB Singapore, said the bank was proud to lead the SME Resilience Circle as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing customers and society. He explained that solutions such as CIMB FlexiPay were designed to simplify cashflow management and reinvestment in growth, supporting both continuity and competitiveness for the future.
Sandeep Nair, Head of Sales at Singlife, emphasised that resilience for SMEs extends beyond financing to building confidence, sustainable growth and safeguarding what matters most. He noted that by supporting a holistic ecosystem for business continuity and protection, the partnership would help strengthen not only individual enterprises but the wider economy.
