Bank of America has announced three senior leadership appointments to support the growth of its Global Payments Solutions (GPS) business across Asia Pacific, according to a press release.
Lin Guo has been named Head of GPS for China, based in Beijing. Kitty Yen will take on the role of Head of GPS for Taiwan, based in Taipei. Meanwhile, Olivier Anceau joins the bank as Head of GPS Asia Pacific Specialized Product Sales, a newly created role based in Singapore.
“I am pleased to announce the appointments of heads of GPS China and GPS Taiwan to drive the strategic growth in these key markets,” said Winnie Chen, Head of GPS Asia Pacific, in a memo to employees in Mainland China and Taiwan.
Guo, who joined the bank in 2013, has “more than 20 years of financial services experience spanning sales, client coverage and management,” according to the announcement. She will also remain Head of GPS Corporate Sales for China and Hong Kong, and Deputy Branch Manager for Beijing. She joins the China Country Leadership Team.
Yen, who has been with the bank since 2012, brings “close to 30 years of financial services experience spanning treasury sales and corporate banking.” She will continue to lead GPS Corporate Sales for Taiwan and remain part of the Taiwan Leadership Team and Local Management Team.
Both Guo and Yen will report to Aziz Parvez, Head of GPS Asia Pacific Corporate Sales, and to Chen. They will also join the GPS Asia Pacific Senior Leadership Team.
In a separate announcement, Anceau was appointed to lead a new team responsible for trade, card, core cash, sales readiness and bid management, and advisory services. He began his role on 1 July.
“Olivier has more than 20 years of experience in financial services across cash and trade, and corporate and commercial banking, with roles spanning sales and relationship management across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia,” wrote Chen, Galen Robbins, and Tracy Stover—co-heads of GPS Specialized Product Sales—in a memo to GPS and SPS employees.
“He will be part of the GPS Asia Pacific Senior Leadership Team and Global SPS Leadership Team, working with our partners across the franchise to deliver a comprehensive client proposition,” they added.
