2023 Awards Highlights of Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards

Why Nominate

As the Islamic financial services industry recovers from a challenging albeit fast evolving operating environment in 2023, new competitive pressures, rising prices in commodities markets and real estate are emerging that are likely to shape institutional response and drive new opportunities. Taking stock of the speed at which Islamic finance assets have grown and outpaced conventional counterparts, Islamic finance institutions are well positioned to press forward as major infrastructure projects materialise and a socially conscious affluent customer segment emerges in select markets. Furthermore, the alignment of sustainability and ESG goals within Islamic finance is also shifting the contours, reach and impact of Shariah based products and services thereby engendering responsible banking practices. With the ensuing evolution and standardisation of Islamic financial contracts in the offing, and continued integration within global financial markets being made possible, the path to growth remains promising. Cost considerations however is an ongoing concern and now, more than ever, it is imperative that Islamic financial institutions deliver exceptional experiences and tailored solutions through innovative business models and services or otherwise risk being disrupted or marginalised.

Who can apply?

The Global Islamic Finance Awards program is open to all participants within the Islamic finance ecosystem across numerous lines of business. We invite nominations from Islamic retail banks, Islamic SME banks, Islamic wealth managers, Islamic transaction banks, Islamic fintech companies, Islamic asset managers, Takaful operators, technology solution providers and vendors.
